The Aligner AFO
The Aligner AFO is a revolutionary new orthotic brace that updates the University of California Biomechanics Lab (UCBL) standard. The Aligner AFO is designed for posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) pathologies that create medial / lateral instability or varus / valgus deformity.
This custom AFO is free motion dorsi / plantar flexion with rigid medial-lateral control. The posted UCBL footplate is combined with a unilateral upright for a three point pressure system that controls varus or valgus deformities. Most common application is PTTD but is effective for bracing of all M-L instability.
